Labor dayOn Monday, there was a terrified shooting which left seven injured and one man dead on West Indian Day of Brooklyn near the route. Over the weekend, at least 39 people were shot by the gunman. On Sunday, according to the News report, since the start on Saturday at 6 .a.m, in the period of 24 hours, 24 people were shot. Police said that on the sideline of crowded march two men were shot at Eastern Parkway .

Another case, when two men got into a scuffle with the shooter, one man was shot in the abdomen while another in the lower back. Luckily, there were sources showing that two men were expected to survive. After shooting, the gunman moved quickly into the crowd. In one block at Eastern Parkway at 5p.m, a guy was shot in the legand he was sent to Hospital’s Kings County , according to officials. Pauline Mash, parade-goer, said that the man pull gun out and fire off two shots. He also added that the people just ran wildly. A few blocks from parade route, there was another incident.

Fortunately, polices could arrest the shooter. At 12:45 a.m, four men were shot at a barbecue of East Flatbush during the J’ouvert which is the traditional pre-dawn celebration before the parade. Sadly, Tyrief Gary whose age is 18 was blasted in the chest. Police reported that others men ages 26, 29 and 30 were wounded in the barrage. Those four people were transported to the Kings County hospital. Unfortunately, Gary, who went to junior high school, died later in the hospital. Totally, there were around 24 cases of shooting which started from morning of Saturday over 24 hours.
