An old man, 84, whose name is john Ashmore, had a surgery and needs to have a critical care after the two dogs of his neighbor mauled him seriously. Being a good neighbor and having close neighborhood with Ashmore, Ernie Nailer dared to beat the dogs during the attacking. On the morning of Sunday, Nailer saw a dog attacking on his neighbor, he had a quick decision to beat the dogs and let the old man escape from that dangerous dogs.

Nailer said that he went to take his paper while two boxer dogs were mauling Ashmore. Hearing a screams from his neighbors and friends, he ran to the place where the two dangerous were attacking his neighbor, and he beat successfully the dog, those dogs then were off from the old guy. However, Sergant Steve Greiner told that Ashmore, poor gentleman, would be killed if these dogs continued to maul him. Interestingly, the dogs were about to attack the deputy when he got a phone call. Luckily, those two dangerous dogs were shot and died then.

According to the neighbors in that area, they reported that they have ever thought of the vicious dogs, but those dogs escaped often from their fence. One neighbor said that the dog attempted to turn on her when she went outside for taking out the garbage. Luckily, she ran safely into her house. Moreover, being a victim of dog attack, Ashmore was sent to Lakeland Regional Hospital and had an operation. He needs critical care but his condition is stable now. The dogs’ owner is charged in this felony.
